Gucci has opened its very first restaurant in Beverly Hills, the United States, located at the brand’s Los Angeles flagship on February 17. Helmed by three-Michelin-star chef Massimo Buttura, Gucci Osteria is a rooftop escape that merges clean California cuisine with Italian favorites.
Gucci Osteria da Massimo Bottura occupies the rooftop of the brand's store on Rodeo Drive, a two-mile-long street in Beverly Hills that is host to a parade of luxury fashion boutiques.
The flagship store has three floors. The first and second floors are Gucci's product area, and the third floor is Gucci Osteria da Massimo Bottura, named after Italian Michelin star Massimo Bottura. Through the door of the elevator to the top floor dining, the city of angels dream of the skyline, full of green plants.
The interior design is designed by Gucci creative director Alessandro Michele. Through Gucci Décor wallpaper, antique mirror, red marble table, wicker chair and other decorations of the Gucci Decor, the passion and vitality of California are combined to inject the consistent design aesthetics of Gucci.
Inside, 50-seat rattan dining chairs and red marble tables also give the illusion of dining in Italy at the moment. Porcelain with Italian classic fishbone wooden flooring & red and ivory floral motifs was used, and under the cutlery was an elaborate leather table mat with a layer of linen at the bottom, giving the whole thing a retro feel.
Star forms appear again on the Italian mosaic floors of the restaurant's outdoor terrace, which looks out over Beverly Hills' bustling, palm tree-lined streets. With Italian design of aesthetic romance and the dreamlike skyline of the city of angels to the breathtaking views, It can not help but let the enthusiasm of Los Angeles and Italy's exquisite lingering.
Looking back at the first Gucci Osteria opened in Gucci Garden in 2018, it is mainly green, which represents vitality. It is also created by Alessandro Michele, creative director of Gucci. It's just that Alessandro Michele's 2018 design is more creative than his current second, and his Beverly hills restaurant is more Italian and American, like Massimo Bottura.
